Per Sylvester's History of Saratoga County he was elected Galway Justice of the Peace in 1866. He was clerk of the board of trustees of the East Galway ME Church in 1878. W. Bronson Taylor in his Galway book states that Jeremiah was appointed Postmaster of the East Galway Post Office on May 26 1859. The 1850 census names him as merchant aged 46 years in 1850.

Hinman Cemetery , Milton - 3 names. Not taped. Added to C. Durkee's 1878 cemetery report, this by W.S. Waterbury: These three gravestones are in a small enclosure situated on the west side of the so-called "Middle Line Road" running north and south through Milton Center to the town of Greenfield, on a farm known as the Patchen Farm. The inscriptions were copied by Mr. W.S. Waterbury in October, 1912.

From Cornelius Durkee's 1878 cemetery report - "The foregoing are all the inscriptions found in a cemetery which is in an open unfenced lot on the south side of the main road between Guyser Spring, Saratoga, and Milton Centre, and but a short distance east of the Centre. They were copied by Mr. E.D. Harris October 31, 1876." In 1998 in very poor condition. Overgrown with tall weeds and brush.

Per the Cornelius Durkee 1878 report - "The foregoing (names) are all the inscriptions existing in the cemetery which is an unfenced lot in a field on the west side of the road leading from Milton Center to West Greenfield, and distant perhaps a mile from the former. There are also a large number of old graves in the same lot, unmarked save by field stones. The inscriptions were copied by Mr. E.D. Harris October 31, 1876."

South Milton Cemetery - 21 stones, 31 names. Per Cornelius Durkee's 1878 cemetery report - "This cemetery is on the east side of a road running in a southerly direction near the south boundary line of the Township of Milton, and near the residence of A. Wood. The foregoing is a completer list of all the stones. The copy was made by E.D. Harris and C.E. Durkee jointly November 21, 1876." In 1998 it is located on Goode Street about ½ mile north of Rt. 67, on the east side of the road.

Swan Cemetery, Milton - 9 stones, 12 names. Per Cornelius Durkee's 1878 cemetery report, "The Swan Cemetery is located in the northwest part of the town, in School District # 12, on east side of the highway running in a northerly direction from Rock City Falls, and near the farm owned by J. Emigh." In 1998 the cemetery is located near Emigh Road about 50 feet to the east in a clump of woods, and about a mile north of Rock City Falls. The cemetery is in a very bad state of repair, and needs much work. No stone is still upright, and the area is overgrown with brush and fallen tree branches.

The foregoing are all of the inscriptions found in the enclosure which is located on the east side of the highway running south from West Milton, about 500 feet from the road, and about one eighth of a mile south of the Presbyterian Church. Wiswall Farm Cemetery, Milton - 5 stones, 3 names. Per C. Durkee's 1878 cemetery report - "The foregoing copied by W. Waterbury. The burying ground is on the Wiswall farm located on the west side of the highway known as the Middle Line Road about 4 miles south of Milton Center nearly opposite Rose Hill Farm." In 1999 on a newly refinished farm north of route 67, west side. (possibly 2 miles south of Milton Center). There are 5 stones, of which only 1 is really readable, and 3 others partly readable. The 5th stone is inaccessible due to thick vegetation.
