CRAWFORD BIBLE
Owner – “Ira Crawford’s Book Saratoga February 18th 1816”
Description – The HOLY BIBLE containing the OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS. Hartford: printed by Hudson and Goodwin. 1814
(41/2 x 7 x 2), brown, intact but very poor condition. Stained and fragile. One page of family information handwritten at the beginning of the New Testament.

Ira Crawford was the son of John Crawford (1766-1831) and grandson of Archibald Crawford (1733-1806). Archibald and his wife and family left Westchester County and resettled in Saratoga County in about 1794. Many Crawford’s are buried in the Southside (Whitford) Cemetery in Saratoga Springs.
Ira and Eunice Crawford died in Monroe Co., NY and are buried in West Clarkson Cemetery, Clarkson, Monroe Co., NY. [findagrave.com]
