Included with the photocopies of the Register pages was an undated clipping of a newspaper article with the headline:

"Mrs. Carrie LaPoint, Porter Corners, Dies" (image)

"Corinth -- Mrs. Carrie Latham LaPoint, 63 Porters Corners, died at 3 p.m. yesterday at her home.

She was a lifetime resident of that village. She was a daughter of the late C. S. Latham, one of the

prominent men of the village, a wagon maker, who became known throughout the northern section

of the state for the excellence of his wagons. He was also justice of the peace in Porters Corners

for about 35 years.

Besides her husband, Edward LaPoint, she leaves a brother, Clarence Latham, Kings.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Porter Corners Methodist Episcopal Church.

The Rev. Orrin Ireson, pastor, will officiate."
