Town of Northumberland

Laing Cemetery map link. (locator symbol on map is )
Laing Cemetery, Town of Northumberland, is recorded in Volume 4,
pages 365-366, of C.E.Durkee's Epitaphs of Saratoga County, N.Y.
The inscriptions were copied by Fred Crane in 1878, who located the
cemetery "about five hundred feet west of the highway leading from
Fort Miller Bridge to Schuylerville and but a few rods from the bridge."

Now, only the Coffinger stone remains at this original location. It is on a small knoll, in a field behind the houses, on the west side of routes 4 & 32, about ¼ mile south of the bridge and about ¼ mile north of Starks Knob Road, in the hamlet of Northumberland. The Laing stones have been moved south to the Prospect Hill Cemetery, lot 322, in the Town of Saratoga.
