Formerly in 1878 the Boyce Cemetery, in Milton. Per Cornelius Durkee's 1878 cemetery report - "The foregoing inscriptions copied by E.D. Harris and C.E. Durkee Oct 20, 1876 are all of the inscriptions to be found in the cemetery. The latter is situated on the east side of the road between Ballston Spa and South Greenfield, just north of the intersection of Washington Street, and adjoining the Boyce estate in District No. 13. 11/14/1876." In 1998 located on Rt. 29, west of Saratoga.

and previously was husband to Mary Bentley who died in 1793 at age 30.

Per Ron Feulner's book King of the Mountain he was first glass blower (head gaffer) at the Mount Pleasant glass factory. He owned the area of Archer's Vlie.

A Greenfield farmer he enlisted September 2 1862 as private in Co. H 153rd Infantry for 3 years at Greenfield. Mustered in October 17 1862 with a $100 bounty paid by the town. He deserted February 3 1863 arrested and served out the sentence of one year at Fort Delaware. Returned to the regiment May 1 1864. Discharged with the regiment. Address after the war was Greenfield Center.
