THE ORMSBEE CEMETERY – TOWN OF GREENFIELD This small family plot is located about 1,000 feet northeast of the brick Ormsbee House on Ormsbee Road in the middle of a field. Obelisk – five inscriptions: Ormsbee, R. M. – died June 20, 1892 – age 83 yrs. 7 mo. 27 da. Ormsbee, Margaret, wife of R. M. Ormsbee – died June 7, 1894 – 87 yrs. 11 mo. 13 da. Ormsbee, Isaac Ira, son of R. M. & M. Ormsbee – died Oct. 13, 1864 – 2 yrs. 5 mo. 17 da. Ormsbee, Amy, wife of R. M. Ormsbee – died Jan. 16, 1852 – 36 yrs. 7 mo. 6 da. (A descendant of Roger Williams of Rhode Island) Separate slab: Ormsbee, Amy, wife of R. M. Ormsbee – not legible Ormsbee, Sally, wife of Ira Ormsbee – died April 30, 1830 – 32 yr. 3 mo. 8 da. Ormsbee, Ira – died October 13, 1851 – in 60th year Separate slab: Ormsbee, Roger Williams, son of R. M. & Amy Ormsbee – died 11-9-1843 – 2 yr. 6 mo. 21 da. Ormsbee, Isaac Ira, son of R. M. & Margaret Ormsbee – died October 13, 1864 - __yr. 5 mo. 7 da. (U. S. Flag) Day, Hannah, daughter of Ezra & Ruth Day – died Apr. 7, 1829 One stone – completely illegible Cole, Ambrose – died Oct. 27, 1808 (possibly 1823) – 74th year Cole, Alathea, wife of Ambrose Cole – died 7/26/1826 – 66th year Ormsbee, Isaac, Soldier of the American Revolution – died December 13, 1848 – in 86th year No flag Ormsbee, Patience Chase, wife of Isaac Ormsbee – died May 26, 1820 – in 54th year Ormsbee, Clarence Mason – born 8-31-1883 – died 1-10-1949 When a small boy of nine years, he lost an arm in a buzz saw.
