“The foregoing are all the inscriptions on stones standing in an enclosure near the house formerly owned and occupied by D.B.Ward, about one mile directly east of Caldwell Hill. They were copied Apr. 9, 1877 by C.E. Durkee.” Durkee’s Epitaphs, volume 4, pages 135-136.
