Daniel Tibbits Bible

Description- (9 1/2 x 11 1/2 x 3) Brown embossed front and back covers with a gold design in the middle. Fair condition with front cover attached but separated from spine. First few pages loose but attached. First full page is TO THE READER, History of Bible and its translations. Next is NAMES AND ORDER OF ALL THE BOOKS OF THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS AND OF THE APOCRYPHA, WITH NUMBERS OF THEIR CHAPTERS.

No cover page, but on the first page of the New Testament is printed: NEW TESTAMENT, PHILADELPHIA, JESPER HARDING 1851. Family information is after p.112 of the Apocrypha.

Inside the front cover is pasted, 3 printed items:

A partial obituary of Mrs. Caroline Miller. Died at Ballston, Oct 20, Mrs. Caroline Miller daughter of Daniel Tibbetts, in 25^th year of her age.

A portion of a poem, four verses, mentioning "sisters."

STAURING - At rest, October 25, 1922. William Schermerhorn Stauring. Funeral Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from his late residence, 129 Elmer Avenue.
