KEELER, Isaac. Does anyone know whether the Isaac KEELER Jr.(1739-1808) buried at the Grenell Road Cemetery in Milton was the son of Isaac KEELER Sr. and Mary Morehouse of Ridgefield CT? All my records say Isaac Jr. was born on August 8, 1739 in Ridgefield, son of Isaac KEELER Sr. and Mary Morehouse, married Rachel NORTHROP (2nd wife was Sarah SMITH),  and died in Milton, NY. However, they don't agree with his death date ( I have 1803, 1807, & 1808). Also,  the online Milton Cemetery transcription list him with the names Phineas KEELER (probably his half-brother) and Joel KEELER (probably his son from 2nd marriage). I'm a descendant of Isaac and Rachel Northrop KEELER's son, Nathaniel, who was buried at the Clifton Park Center Baptist Church Cemetery.  Richard Anderson

MOORE, Gideon. I am seeking information on the descendants of the Gideon MOORE (1738-1821) of Stillwater, Saratoga County, NY, who was the son of Gideon MOORE and Anna Griswold MOORE of Simsbury, CT and later Nine Partners Patent, Dutchess County, NY. Gideon MOORE, Jr. was born in Simsbury, CT, on April 14, 1738.  He died in the Town of Stillwater, Saratoga County, NY on June 14, 1821, having attained the age of 84 years.  He is a Rev. War soldier, having served in the 13th Regiment of the Albany County Militia.  He is buried in Bemis Heights Cemetery in Stillwater. Gideon MOORE, Jr. lived in Great Lott 10 of the Saratoga Patent, he and his brother, Charles MOORE, having a leased a 200-acre farm from General Philip Schuyler on September 4, 1773. Horace L. MOORE, who published a genealogy entitled The Descendants of Andrew MOORE of Connecticut in 1903, stated that he could find no information on any children of Gideon MOORE (Jr.). Before the Rev. War, Gideon MOORE came to the Saratoga Patent (now the Town of Stillwater) with his extended family, which included the following people: Alpheus MOORE, his brother       Amos MOORE, his first cousin, once removed Ashbel MOORE, his uncle, who died testate in 1790 and left his land in Stillwater to his nephew, Reuben MOORE. Charles MOORE, his brother, who leased a farm in Great Lott 10 from General Philip Schuyler Hosea MOORE, his brother Jonathan MOORE, who is either his uncle or his first cousin Phineas MOORE, his brother Reuben MOORE, his brother William MOORE, his brother Anna MOORE Woodworth, his sister.  Anna was married to Ephriam Woodworth of Stillwater.  Tryphena MOORE Bemis, his sister.  Tryphena was married to Jotham Bemis of Stillwater, the Rev War tavern keeper and Loyalist. Philip MOORE is the only "unidentified" Rev War Era MOORE in my database.  I have no idea if, or where he fits on this MOORE family tree. MORGAN, See BURGE, John.

MORRIS, See PHILLIPS, Jane.

MORRISSEY MORRISSEY, Patrick. Seek info on Patrick MORRISSEY born in Ireland about 1827 (from 1870 & 1880 US Census) and his wife Mary b 1829, also in Ireland, unknown maiden name. Married between 1850 and 1852, but don't know where. Patrick arrived March 3, 1851, aboard the ship Shannon from Liverpool. I do not know when either died. I could not find them in the 1900 Census, so assume they died sometime between 1880 and 1900.   Censuses included following children: John (1853), James (1857), Mary (1858), Patrick (1860), Michael (1862) [my great-grandfather], and William (1864). In 1870 they lived in Ballston, 1880 in Milton. Not found in 1860 Census, but believed to be then in Saratoga County. I searched all the cemeteries in Saratoga County and could not find them.
Michael MORRISSEY married Mary MCLAUGHLIN (according to the St. Mary's, Moreau, cemetery listing). Michael died 1909 and Mary died 1930, married in 1882 and lived in Glens Falls. Mary was born in New York State (probably Ballston) in 1861. Their children: William (1886), Helen (Fish, b 1888), Harold (1892), Gertrude (Leaugier, b 1895), Delia (Heil, b 1897) [My grandmother], and Thomas (1902).
Also seek info about Mary MCLAUGHLIN's parents. Father Dennis (or Denis) born Ireland around 1800 and her mother (Margaret, maiden name unknown) was born Ireland about 1808. They lived in Ballston beginning about 1832. Children: William (1835), Thomas (1838), Catherine (1840), a second William (1860), and Mary (1863). I found Dennis in the 1840, 1850, and 1860 Census'. Margaret is also in the 1870 Census. In the 1880 Census Mary is living with her brother Will in Ballston. Dennis died May 4, 1868 and Margaret died July 23, 1879 (according to Durkee's Scrapbook #1, 1879 Deaths from Newspaper Clippings). Dennis and Mary are buried in St. Mary's cemetery in Ballston Spa, as is their daughter Catherine. Jim Heil
